Meet Marianne Green, RD

Registered Dietitian. Functional Nutrition Practitioner. Boise, Idaho.

    Portrait of Marianne Green

    A Different Kind of Dietitian

Before Marianne became a Registered Dietitian, she spent years working in social work. That background is not something she left behind when she changed careers — it is the foundation of how she practices today.

Most nutrition appointments move quickly. You come in, you get a plan, and you leave. Marianne's approach is different. She takes the time to understand the full picture of what you are going through — not just the clinical details, but the real-life context behind them. Clients often say it is the first time they have felt genuinely heard when it comes to their health.

That combination of clinical training and human connection is rare. And it makes a difference in the outcomes people get.

    Why She Does This Work

One of the things that motivated Marianne to start her own practice was seeing how hard it was for people in her community to access real functional nutrition care. Waitlists were long, costs were high, and the approach was often reactive rather than preventative.

She wanted to change that. Her goal was to make this level of care more accessible — and to bring it into a format she genuinely believed worked better for people. That is part of why she is so passionate about group programs. There is something powerful about going through a health journey alongside other people. The accountability, the shared experience, the sense of not being alone in it — those things matter.

She also loves the teaching side of this work. Helping someone understand their own body — not just handing them a plan but helping them actually get it — is what keeps her energized about what she does.

    Her Approach

Marianne describes her style as a gentle, meet-you-where-you-are approach — backed by real clinical depth. That means a few things in practice:

The goal is never a quick fix. It is lasting change that fits your real life.

    • She starts with your story, not a template
    • She looks for the root cause of symptoms rather than managing them in isolation
    • She uses advanced functional lab testing when it adds real value
    • She builds plans you can actually sustain — not ones that require perfection
    • She helps you understand your body so you can make confident decisions long term

    Training and Credentials

Marianne holds a Registered Dietitian credential and has completed advanced training as an Integrative and Functional Nutrition Certified Practitioner (IFNCP). That additional certification goes well beyond standard RD training and equips her to work with complex cases, interpret advanced lab panels, and take a whole-systems approach to nutrition and health.

    • Registered Dietitian (RD)
    • Integrative and Functional Nutrition Certified Practitioner (IFNCP)
    • Licensed to provide nutrition counseling in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington
    • Available via telehealth to clients nationwide for group programs

    In the Community

Marianne is based in the Treasure Valley area of Boise, Idaho and is an active presence in the local health community. She regularly presents at medical offices, community events, and wellness workshops — bringing functional nutrition education directly to people who might not otherwise have access to it.

She works closely with a network of physicians and healthcare providers in the Boise area who refer patients looking for a more comprehensive, root-cause approach to nutrition.
